About My Daily Fix

The premise is simple: For 100 days I must repeat a design operation of my choosing. The 'operation' must be repeated in some form every day and every iteration must be documented for eventual presentation. The medium is open.

So...the only consistent event in my life is starting the day with a cup of tea; my daily fix.
I intend to do something very simple, record my morning cuppa by way of an art work a day. It may be a drawing, painting, collage, photography or the like.

100 Days Project was originally conceived at the Yale School of Art by Michael Beirut, who used it as a tool to hone the skills of his students by making them repeat the same design operation every day for 100 days.

Emma Rogan of New Zealand had a couple of options, either leave her family, move to the US and spend $55,000 on the 2 year course at Yale just so she could do the 100 days project or bring the concept to New Zealand. Now in its second year the 100 Days Project 2012 started on Friday 20 April and finishes 28 July, when I'll actually be at a yoga retreat in southern France, so this will be interesting.
